Pennyroyal (c/s)

Made as a tea, this herb is frequently used for the soothing effect on an upset stomach.  Believed to have the ability to remedy painful menstruation and encourage the menstrual flow. Consequently, it can also cause the uterus to contract and has been used by folk medicine to induce abortion. For this reason, pregnant women must not take pennyroyal tea in any form.
