Bentonite Clay

Bentonite clay powder is a naturally occurring by-product of volcanic ash exposed to wind and water. It's spiritual healing properties are homeostasis, the ability to return to balance.

Bentonite clay is a great way to rid your skin of bacteria, toxins and pollutants like dust and carbon particles which it constantly absorbs from the environment. 

The clay can be used to benefit your body in many ways by applying it on the surface of your skin, as well as by consuming it orally. Since it is a highly hygroscopic substance, which means it absorbs liquids, it can be mixed into a mask, a facial rinse, or a solution for oral consumption. Use to make facial masks and body powders and to thicken homemade lotions, creams and other cosmetics.

It is added to natural body powders, usually in combination with corn starch or orris root powder. Moistened with a small amount of water, bentonite clay makes an excellent facial mask to draw out impurities from the skin.
